Will's Wheels trip to Mallorca 2009.

Scotland 2008 was always going to be hard to beat and for 2009 we're heading to the cycling mecca of Mallorca. Hopefully for some much needed sun, cycling and San Miguels. For those of you that haven`t already been to Mallorca the island provides phenomenal bike riding for anyone. Quiet rolling roads to high rolling mountains and all with sunshine and all with the added luxury of leaving your panniers behind unless you want to take them.

We're looking at 1 week leaving on the 18th April and returning on the 25th April 2009 hopefully in time for the British summer with tanned legs. Temperatures at this time of year are usually a pleasant 20 C and by leaving it a little later in the year very little rain. Staying in the Porto Pollensa resort on the north of the island which provides an ideal location with the mountains behind and the flatter lands not far away and some stunning coastline for the not so fit not so fast. Runs will depend on how many and who goes but aiming for a clubrun like ride every day.

I'm looking at a cost of approx £450 to £500 depending on the Euro exchange rate, including flights, bike transfer and half board accommodation 3 star. Everyone is welcome on this trip from RACING tourists, to Sunday club runners, ex internationals and racing lads and lasses!!
