The Cumbrian Killer, 2nd May 2010 The event starts at Dallam School on the North Lancashire / Cumbrian border and takes in some of the legendary climbs of the English Lake District. With approximately 2,620 metres of climbing over 88 miles (full course) through superb mountain scenery, it has become a classic sportive route, appealing to Expert Sportive Riders who relish a magnificant challenge.The climbs of Kirkstone Pass (16%), Red Bank (25%), Blea Tarn (25%) and the legends of Wrynose Pass (25%) and Hardknott Pass (30%) all feature with an unforgettable descent of "The Struggle".There is a shorter course of 73 miles with 2,000 metres of climbing to allow cyclists to enjoy more of the majestic landscape of the Lake District.The event costs £35 to enter which includes feedstops, electronic timing, a fully signed course and a sag wagon for support.
